What is Reiki?

The word Reiki simply means spiritual energy. It is also used to describe the system of healing that utilizes this energy, the Reiki System of Natural Healing. It is a hands-on therapy technique founded in Japan in the 1920’s. Today Reiki has spread throughout the Western world to aid in relaxation, self-care, and as a connection to the Universal Energy in all things.

Reiki Circles: Every Wednesday at 8pm

Once a week on Wednesday evenings at 8pm, we gather to learn about and experience Reiki! There will be a brief intro about Reiki, a relaxing meditation, a Healing Circle and each person will get a small dose of Reiki to take home. It’s a great way to ease out of your day and to get through the rest of the week. Only a $10 suggested donation.

Private Reiki Sessions

For a more in-depth Reiki experience, schedule a private session! Reiki can be used in conjunction with counseling and insight to just relax you, or to change the energy of your life. It's all about what you put into it.  Physical, mental, emotional and spiritual concerns can all be affected by Reiki.  You will be fully-clothed, on a heated massage table, in a calm and welcoming environment. Come experience what Reiki can do for you!

Reiki Classes

Reiki is traditionally taught in two parts, Reiki I and Reiki II. Claire teaches each class over two consecutive Sundays, 9:30am - 5pm.

In Reiki I, you learn the history of Reiki in Japan, the story of Reiki in the West, how they blend together, hand positions, the Reiki Precepts, using meditation, practice and journaling - all will help you bring Reiki into your personal spiritual practice and have the energy of Reiki at your fingertips! Then in Reiki II, you learn symbols, chanting, mantras, poetry, as well as full table positions!

Certification available for each class, following completion of requirements.

Claire M. Schwartz is the resident Reiki Master and Teacher at Wellness on the Green.  Her drive is to promote Self-Care and Personal Empowerment through the Japanese Art of Reiki, counseling and her own 20+ years on the Healing Journey. She was trained in one of the only two-year professional Reiki Master programs in America, in Western Reiki teachings, and received her Teacher training through the International House of Reiki in Australia, in traditional Japanese techniques. Claire brings her own unique blend of East and West, along with her BA from the University of Michigan and Spiritual Counseling certification, to Morristown, and to you.
