BRAZILIAN JUJITSU ~ with Chris

Welcome to the deadly art of grappling! Are you needlessly searching for a new way of life? Or are you looking to learn how to defend yourself? Maybe perhaps you are looking to work of some of your late night snacks. Whatever your reason is this martial system will help.

Brazilian Jujitsu is derived from the Japanese styles Judokan (Judo) and Japanese Jujutsu (jujitsu). It permits a smaller opponent to effectively defend themselves from a larger opponent by applying leverage and various joint locks and chokes. Begin as a student, leave as a warrior.

CARDIO KICKBOXING ~ with Chris

This class takes the martial aspects of Kickboxing and puts it into a cardiovascular exercise. Working your cardio has many positive health benefits. There is nothing better than a good workout and this class can deliver the proper results that you are looking for!

KALI ~ with Mike

Kali is a martial art from the Philippines that is based in the use of weaponry, which includes swords, sticks, and knives. Unarmed methods in Kali are derived straight from the movements and methods of the weapon tactics. Kali is an effective and practical art that deals with the realities of a real-life scenario, where weapons and multiple assailants may be involved. Kali is used to train Navy Seals as well as movie stars like Matt Damon and Lucy Liu.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS ~ with Chris

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is a modern form of combat and competition art. It combines the explosive stand up that you normally would see in Muy Thai with the submissive and deceptive art of grappling. Most studios just give the combat aspect of MMA. But here at Wellness on the Green, you get the spiritual aspect of it as well. I believe that in order to become a great warrior, you need to know how to look within yourself and know your limits. Many places will teach you that your strength only comes from your muscular development. To a certain extent that is true, but that is still an incomplete teaching. If you also get in touch with your internal strength and combine the two, you will make the greatest warrior anyone has ever seen.

In this MMA class, you will learn how to develop your stand up and ground games as well as strengthen your spiritual growth. If you pass by and not come in, I ask that you at least pray for the warriors inside so they find their strength.

TAI-CHI ~ with Chris

Condition your mind, body and soul as you feel your spirit being rejuvenated. Tai Chi Chuan is a Chinese internal Martial Art that enhances your energy through slow, graceful movements. Having been created from the Shaolin Monks in Ancient China, you will partake in exercises that are also practiced in Shaolin Kung Fu. If you have trouble with range of motion, are a training athlete, or just want an energy boost, this is the class for you! Enter a realm of infinite possibilities.
