ADVANCED BELLYDANCE ~ with Kim

Instructor's permission required to take this class. Join us as we perfect our technique & routines, and perform them! We are very active in the bellydance community and performance opportunities are abundant.

BEGINNER ATS (AMERICAN TRIBAL STYLE) BELLYDANCE ~ with Fringe Benefit

American Tribal Style (ATS) is a truly unique form of American dance based on rhythmic movements done in mainly improvisational group style using non-verbal ques and transitions. This class will focus on the basic pure ATS format with some ITS (improvisational tribal style) as well. Proper posture, zilling, dancing with a partner/group, ques and transitions, and working with music with are covered. No prior experience is necessary. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in (no jeans please). Bring a hip scarf and a pair of zills if you have them. Though we dance bare foot you may wear shoes of your choice if you prefer.

BELLYDANCE CHOREOGRAPHY ~ with Kim

Learn the Bellydance Revolution Choreographies and perform with us! (performance is NOT mandatory)
Our normal warm up consists of muscle toning exercises and yoga based stretching. After the warm up we move onto drills, which include arms, shoulders, chest, stomach, and hips. After our warm up and drills we work on our choreographies, some of which include zills (finger cymbals), veils and other props. Our style is Fusion Bellydance - choreographed American Tribal Style Bellydance fused with other related dance styles including American Nightclub/Cabaret Bellydance, Indian Classical Dance, Bollywood, Flamenco and Hip Hop. We hope you enjoy our modern and playful take on bellydance!

BELLYDANCE VEILS & PROPS ~ with Gabi

Improve your posture and condition your arms and upper body through the graceful art of the veil. Gabi's Veils & Props class will focus on perfecting your veil work, including spins, turns, combinations and transitions. Other props may also be used.

BOLLYWOOD FUSION ~ with Kim

Bolly Meets Belly in our Bollywood Fusion Class!
Our warm up consists of muscle toning exercises and yoga based stretching. After the warm up we move onto bellydance & bollywood drills, which include hands, arms, shoulders, chest and hips. After our warm up and drills we work on our bollywood bellydance fusion choreography.
The dancing in Bollywood films incorporates various dance forms and is a fusion of classical and popular styles (i.e. classical Indian dance, folk dance, bhangra, middle eastern/bellydance, hip hop, latino, etc.). Bollywood is a very expressive dance as the songs and dance movements often comment on the action taking place in the movie.

OPEN LEVEL CABARET BELLYDANCE ~ with Gabi

Cabaret Bellydance class starts with stretching and warm up concentrating on posture, technique of the movements that will be used in a routine, putting them in combinations and working on a choreography at the end. Gabi's style of bellydance is Egyptian style, which is refined and elegant.

BEGINNER / OPEN LEVEL BELLYDANCE ~ with Alexa

Our normal warm up consists of muscle toning exercises and yoga based stretching. After the warm up we move onto drills, which include arms, shoulders, chest, stomach, and hips. We do the same warm up and drills each week. After our warm up and drills we work on a particular move that is considered basic. We then build upon the basic move and explore different variations and layers. You can join this class at anytime - beginners are welcome! More advanced students will also benefit from this class, and it's a great complement to any of our other classes.

HIP HOP BELLYDANCE ~ with Kim

Our warm up consists of muscle toning exercises and yoga based stretching. After the warm up we move onto bellydance drills, which include arms, shoulders, chest, stomach, and hips. After our warm up and drills we work on our bellydance hip hop fusion choreography. Blending hip hop moves such as waving, liquid, popping, strobing, tutting and gliding/floating into bellydance moves creates a powerful and fun style of dancing.
