CAPOEIRA CLASSES! WEDNESDAYS @ 7pm! |
Capoeira is a martial art developed by African slaves brought to Brazil over 400 years ago. There are many theories about the origins of this martial art disguised as a dance set to music with traditional musical instruments, singing and clapping, including that it was used as a way to combat oppression.
To this day, capoeira infuses elements of fight, music, dance, acrobatics, rhythm, strength, community, endurance and freedom of expression.
No experience is necessary, all levels and ages are welcome!
